Ad Differences

This is a Pepsi ad from the 1950's. It seems as if you cant even see any Pepsi cans or anything at all really to do with the soda. I think this ad targets adults and teens who are young and in love. This ad is trying to show you that Pepsi is the now.

This is a current ad from Pepsi in 2012. This is probably the definition of what it is to show rather than to tell. The ad from 1950 has a lot of writing on it and really tries to sell you it. But this ad just makes you want a soda.

Nature Poem

The sun shimmers across the silky sea.
What a spectacular sight to see.
As a roaring river rushes through rural land.
Raging ravens rile and rant.

Moving mountains mounted meticulously.
Making monkeys mumble massive mistakes.
As shivering snow swirled swiftly.
Constantly covering crevasses completely.

Behold beauty bound by no barriers.
Wind whisking and whispering worries away.
Sing sweet songs of solitude today.
Making melodies more merrier like Christmas day.

Wild Card

The Giver Ending
Was Jonas last moments really only a memory, but then again were those really even his last moments? I get this is "Dystopian" literature but come on now, with baby in hand think what you would do to keep both yourself and the child alive. I, however, like to think that the memory given to Jonas was merely only foreshadowing the very ending of the book. Indeed can also say though I do too find my perception of the ending to be a little too optimistic for my taking to. I admit I am very confused on why the author would end the book like this, but that isn't mine, or anybody else decision to make.
